I wonder if one or both of the springs are rubbing against the coils themselves?

Well I put new shocks in the rear today, what a nice feel difference that made. However the car still squeaks out of control. I am really stumped at this point I guess I could pull the spring out but from what I could tell when I was in there it was sitting perfectly on the isolator. Frustrating

Well this morning I lowered the lower control arm to inspect the spring. I couldn't notice anywhere that it looked like coils may be hitting each other. So I put a little bit of electrical tape around a few of the coils that seemed closest together. I tightened the LCA as much as possible as well. I bounced the car and I couldn't make the noise again. So I took it out for a drive and I heard nothing. I am really happy not having the noise but I'm not ready to proclaim its fixed. The noise had been intermittent although it had been more constant lately. I'm also going to call eibach tommorow. I stumbled across a thread about squeaking eibach springs. The OP of the thread had contacted eibach with a similar problem. Eibach sent them these little isolator sleeves at not cost. So I'll give them a shout tommorow.

Hey silvr do you have a link for those isolator sleeves. I have the same springs and the same squeaking problem. Ususally happens when coming out of a steep driveway or anytime the rear suspension is flexed. Its aggrevating...
So the problem is the coils rubbing together?

Bspec, what I found out was the noise wasn't coming from the coils at all. It was actually coming from the lower control arm. I greased it up with some marine grease and the noise went away. I don't have a link for the part from eibach but I know it is called split tubing. Hope this helps.
