HOW DO I GET TO THE 12'S IN THE 1/4?
OK, I RAN A 13.74 LAST YEAR AT THE TRACK ON TEST AND TUNE NIGHT AND I FORGOT TO LET SOME AIR OUT OF MY REAR DD STREET TIRES. SINCE THEN I HAVE ADDED 3.73'S, HAVE YET TO INSTALL REAR CONTROL ARMS, AND AM TRYING TO DECIDE BETWEEN A HURST OR MGW, PACESETTER OR FLOWTECH LONGTUBES, AND IF I NEED THE BBK 78MM THROTTLE BODY/ PLENUM OVER MY BBK 70MM TB. ALSO, WHAT DRAG RADIALS FIT A 15 X 8 RIM BEST? I HAD STEEDA UNDERDRIVE PULLEYS AND BBK COLD AIR INTAKE ALREADY. I HAVENT WENT TO THE TRACK YET BUT, THE TECHIES AT AMERICAN MUSCLE SAID THE GEARS SHOULD GET ME INTO THE LOW 13'S. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET INTO THE 12'S WITHOUT TEARING INTO THE ENGINE? ANY AND ALL INPUT IS APPRECIATED!

Tires and Practice are probably the two biggest items to help get you into the 12's.
Take your current set-up out again and let us know all the data (60', 1/8 ET and Trap, 1/4 ET and Trap)from your pass. This will help us assess your set-up and make better suggestions.

Long tubes are not cost-effective for a focused effort to run 12s. (they sound great though)
If you want to run 12s, especially with the 3.73 gears now, you just traction (and the driver mod)
UPR control arms, Strange 10-way shocks & struts, UPR/Eibach drag springs... and I wouldn't recommend drag radials with a stick car. On 15x8s, I'd run 26x10.5 M/T ET Streets.
