I do all my own labor just because I can't afford shop labor here, and I love working on this car (cause I do it so much...ha.......ha...). Anywho, here are some of the current and past 4v swap threads from this forum (sorry if I missed any) including mine.

That should be just about all the information you should need, and interestingly enough we have all gone slightly different routes with our swaps. For parts, depending on how patient and picky you are it can be done for between $500 and $1500 IN PARTS.

I would keep an eye on CaptainRon's swap if you're interested. His could get interesting because of the route he is going.

I know I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have, and I have a suspicion the others would be happy to help to, however I can't speak for them.

Also, for what it's worth, I've clocked four thousand miles roughly on my swap without any compatibility issues at all.
