Default a liitle help for a new mustang owner

ok, i know this probably isn't the place for it, but i could be wrong like i have been before. i bought a 1997 4.6 gt a year ago. my transmission blew out on me.. my third and fourth gears are gone, and first and second are starting to go. i guess my request for help is more for those in the San Antonio area, is how hard would it be to drop my transmission replace just the gears, put it all together and in the car? and if anyone would be willing to help me out with it?

And i guess from a new guy

+1 just drop the trans and swap it out. these t45's aren't really worth the headache of trying to rebuild.

OK guys, well thank you for keeping from potentially making a problem for myself. and thank you Cobra Frenzy, for pointing me to to corral.net, and Kugzgt, thank you for letting me know the type of trannie i had, that would have been my next question. anyways, thank you. oh real quick for a used one what would be a normal price, for a certain amount of miles?

As low as you possible can find. But I'd spend extra either with a new one or get a used one with a warranty. Then you'll be safe. Those tranny are durable but you never will know a 100% going used at any mileage.
