Wow, been a long time coming! Had a birthday, family in town, and tons of hours at work. ended up taking about 5 weeks to get my bottom end pieces because the pistons were "custom" says MMR. I finally got them about 2 weeks ago, got it all balanced and back to the house, got my block prepped, and have my crank in, and torqued, and bearing clearances checked. Have all the pistons and rods connected with their circlips, and am currently working on filing the rings down to fit! I also purchased a felpro gasket kit for the motor, so all my gaskets are FEL-PRO.

Next friday the 26th, my heads will go in for a valve job, and some porting work to a local machine shop who does really nice work. Than all I have left to order is head studs, cams, cam gears, adjustable crank gears to degree the cams, and some valve springs. Than a converter for the trans, a spiral ring retainer, an fluids. Have SERIOUSLY been thinking about a 5spd swap though, miss catchin them gears!.

Here are some cell phone pics of the recent progress, I will get some nicer ones with the digi cam asap.

Well boys, i've been working on her a bit here and there, the shortblock is built, oil pan is painted up, along with the valve covers which all came out nice! Here are a few pics. All I need is my valve springs and cams to come in, and I can put the heads on, along with the timing components etc! Although I ordered my springs from MMR two weeks ago,and they stll haven't even got them from Manley yet.

I also talked to Alan at dirty dog performance about my trans, he told me his thoughts on converter and little upgrades to do while im in there, with a full list of parts. Hoping to have the motor done in a week or two, and than the trans done about xmas time.

Looks good man. What kind of numbers you hoping for without the giggle juice?

To be honest, I'm really not sure what to expect with this combo either off the juice, or on as far as exact numbers go. I see some builds where people make huge numbers, and others where they dont.. I'd be happy with 300 NA and 450-480 on the spray.although with the cams, some people have picked up more than the advertises HP rating with the spray(JayC picked up 190hp with 150#jets for nitrous) I really just want to run 11's. Wish I could swing some trickflows, but it looks like my stock heads will just get a valve job, and some gasket matching. May find a way to pull the trigger on some MMR stage 1 heads at the last minute. All in all, I just want it to put me in my seat hard, and have some crazy torque curves.

^^Its a medium blue, my phone just couldnt get the light quite right.

Did a rear seat delete, and the bottle will be mounted on that, with this bracket, and then I'll have a bracket in the trunk for track days to be legal. Any other time, it'll be close by

Seeing your rods makes we wonder if the same company makes alot of rods and everyone slaps there name on it and you pay more for each MFG name. I just bought some Oliver Forged rods and they look identical to your Manley Rods right down to the the way the rod length is marked on the side

The one's the op have appear to be the mmr brand rods, looks like the same exact setup that i purchased for my build I was working on when I had my gt.

jtb, are you the one I sold my old nitrous kit to?
