Default Got my gears installed!..but a few questions

So i got my 4.10s in and wow what a major difference...

Now ive heard that the handheld tuner should fix the speedo, so i had a tune written and I uploaded it...but the speedo is still off..so how do i go about recalibrating it.

second..I think my odometer stopped working, is that purely coincidental that it went at the same time as I did the gears?

And on a totally unrelated note....how does one recharge the air with freon in these cars..ive actually never done it. But as it would turn out, now i do. and i figure id kill this question too while im here haha

You can't change ur speedo with the tuner on the 96, you need to get a dallas mustang speed cal, or a ford racing speed cal. The highest plastic speedo gear they make is only 3.73.

that will work, but may wear out eventually. If youre trying to easily fix it. Im running one.

The odometer is another common problem. Heres a link to the parts you need to fix that

and the how to in .pdf form

As far as the a/c, Id take it to a shop. especially since you have no idea where you even charge the system from....no offense, but you can damage parts if you under/over charge the system

I didn't know steeda was still producing a plastic 4.10 gear, i know for awhile someone else made one buy they chewed apart in a few hundred miles of run time.

the issue is though..I have an automatic, all this calibrators are for manuals, and that plastic gear is for the t45 and tremec.

I use a speedcal on my 2000. It was cheaper than a tuner at the time. I still use it to this day.
