Well, as MANY people asked before in the past, what is better a Mach or S197
Honestly, I dont care too much for interior, and obviously the S197 wins in that department, hands down.
But to me the New Edge just looks so agressive and the S197 looks kinda girly and plain. Okay, enough of me blabbering. lol
Im thinking about getting a 2004 Mach 1, its a 5 speed manual and has about 66,000 miles. No mods that I'm aware of.
And the S197 is also a 5 speed and the miles can range from 90k-120k
Now I have a few questions, will the VCT really be a lose for me if I do choose the Mach.
Which engine responds better to basic bolt ons (cai,TB,tune,etc) 3v or 4v.
Which one will be more expensive to fix if anything goes wrong?
Also, which one has a better aftermarket support?
Last but not least, which one would be a better first car?

Personally I like the mach, I just like the new edge styling better. And the color options for the mach.

The mach would be my choice as well. Also, the Mach doesnt have VCT, the s197 does

That's what I meant, with the 3v having the vct and the make having 4v which one would be the better performer

Personally I would go with the mach 1 because I like the styling over s197s.

To answer your questions though...
Both have the same aftermarket
The s197 might be a little more expensive to fix
The 3v might respond a little better to mods
