Default Another tire thread lols.

Okay i prob should get a picture for you guys, but maybe i don't need one, i have 17x10.5? cobra wheels on my car... (not wheels in sig) and i have 315s out back and need new rear tires, is there any reason I couldn't go to a 305 rear tire?

Oh and i wanted to go to a 305 to avoid rubbing on my brake line brackets around turns, i don't wish to use a spacer at this point.

305 would be fine but i dunno who makes that. usually it's either a 275 or a 315 for a 17" wheel. i've never heard of anything rubbing on that, any way to modify it to clear?

Why would 305's rub, if you already run 315's? My guess is they are a 40 series?

I didn't do my research I can't even find 305s in 17s.. Idk if I want to go to a 295. And I'm saying my 315s rub slightly so I wanted slightly smaller... Guess I should get small spacers. I looked on AM and Nittos are $225 each for 315s.. cheaper anywhere else?

Run a panhard bar so there wont be any side-to-side movement in cornering. And which nitto's are you talking about? Drag radials?

315's already look goofy on a 10.5" wheel because the wheel is almost as wide as the tire, going any smaller is going to make the wheel wider than the tire and that's no good. stay 315's and put on a 1/4" spacer. IMO.

^ depends on what you are after

A narrower tire will hold a better lateral line and extremely difficult to not get push with 315's out back.
