Default Vortech supercharger leaking

Has anyone rebuilt their vortech superchargers? The seal on my shaft is leaking, because my belt broke and wrapped a whole rib in between the pulley and the s/c on the shaft. I don't want to send it to vortech for one seal and pay $400... So if anyone knows what the part number is so I can replace it myself that would great! It's a v7 ysi. I dont know if that makes a difference. Also here is a picture if anyone is wondering that seal I'm talking about.

You can change that seal without even opening the blower up, mine wasn't leaking but I changed mine anyway this year when I swapped pulleys. There should be a number somewhere on that seal that you can crossreference. My porcharger used a chicago rawhide seal which I cross reference to a federal no problems at all. Those seal have a metal race, to remove it just poke a small hole into the race and use a pic to tap it lose, u can also drive two small screws into the race and pull it out that way as well. My new seal used a formed hardened rubber coated race, its an easy change and the seal shouldn't cost more than 10$ If you can find a number vortech should be able to give u a part number, I know procharger will.

I hate it when my shaft leaks...

But what Uber said, cheap and easy to change just the seal. Might check superchargersonline for the seal.

Belt shredded up again... and wrecked another seal.... quick question. Can you press the seal in to far? I tapped it in with a socket, But I don't know if I tapped it in to far.

no eventuall the seal should bottom out against the case, it should be like stepped if u look when the seals out. If your shredding belts so easy you have an alignment issue with the blower.
