Default Power on a stock crank?

Hey guys I'm looking for opinions on an engine build. Everything is all ready to go but I'm torn on whether or not I need the forged crank over the stock. I'm looking to build a nitrous motor. Probably going to run a 200-250 shot on it. How much reliable power has everyone seen on a stock steel crank?

I wouldn't risk it with the stock crank. It would be well worth the money to buy something that WILL hold the power rather than MIGHT hold the power.

Stock crank is not your problem, I am assuming you are already forged upper? I would spend money on built tranny and rearend with that kinda of torque.

as long as you use good rods and pistons, and they arent too heavy, stock crank will be fine, having to add heavy metal to them makes them weaker but lighter components wont be an issue

im aiming for 500rwhp with my stock crank FWIW

Manley forged H beams and forged Diamond pistons with the rings set lower specifically for the giggle juice. Ported stock heads with upgraded springs and nitrous cams. The clutch was just replaced with a stock cheapo so I am well aware that will be exploding into pieces shortly. Thanks for the input fellas

Out of curiosity, how much experience do you have with nitrous, why kit will you be running and what fuel system?
