Wait and buy my LT's when i change mine out!!
I even have and o/r x-pipe and a catted x-pipe if needed.

This probably wont happen for a couple months though lol

All in all though, i would def go LT's. Shorties to me are just a waste of time and money. They produce a little but for the money and time it takes to do them i would just go LT. Not to mention they sound so much better.

ONe of you mentioned long tubes plus a tune... Will I need to retune if I LT? That doesn't seem to make sense to me.

If you want the best gains you need a retune, s lot of people where i live don't tune for them which is just a waste

As it was stated above, for best gains you'll need a retune.

ALSO, you have to extend your 02 wiring harness with longtubes because the collectors are located further downstream than the stock manifolds, so if you do not tune it, you will get a CEL with an error code that says something along the lines of "slow 02 response," which can cause your car to run pig rich iirc. A tune can compensate for this.

Another thing to keep in mind is if you go with longtubes, you most likely will not be able to lower your car. That is my biggest regret with mine.

I have long tubes, and it is lowered with H&R SS springs on it.

Now you cant slam it but u can definitely lower them.

Really? Whoa that is great news! I don't want to jack this guys thread or anything, but when I get home this weekend I'll take some measurements. I have BBK headers which don't tuck that great and I always assumed it'd be a death wish to lower it. I'd say I have around 5" of ground clearance at the header now.
