Default 2v guys, What brand and weight of oil and filter do you use?

I've been using 5w20 Royal Purple oil and filters. I was just wondering what everyone else uses.

Ive used motorcraft 5w30 for thee most part. I did try the 5w20 before and I don't think I noticed a difference. I use the motorcraft filters...not sure how much they weigh but they seem to do the job.

Tried fram once when the store ran out of motorcraft oil filters, seemed OK.

Ha, maybe I should have phrased that differently. What brand and weight of oil and what brand of filter?

You shouldn't run an 20 weight oil, the only reason it speced from the factory for 5w20 is for CAFE laws and gas mileage, its been proven its not the best for preventing wear. The same ford engines in other countries are speced for 5w30, just run a 5w30, if its a really hot environment u can go 10w30.

Here in Florida I run 10W-40 Pennzoil Synthetic and use the Motorcraft FL-820S filter--all from Walmart at reasonable cost--been doing that for 6+ years and 135k miles...

Mobil 1 5w30 with a Purolator PureOne filter. Changed every 3k-4k miles. Has been fine for me and it stays nice and clean.
