getting ready for some track time. what will I do @1/4mi

it will all be track prep in my opinion. if you can hook then mid low 13s. hook is the big one, are those true drag radials? or a dot bias ply slick? if they are drs and you can get a 1.9 your doing well, but you wont get that 1.9 at 4k with good track prep, i got my 1.9at 3500 slipping the clutch a bit. if they are bias ply youll need more than 4k. Think of it this way, you always want forward movement, and you can feel what im talking about if you bog you need more aggressive rpm or less aggressive clutch one or the other not both change one at a time. you want the drs to make noise imho(angry squeal). if they go up in smoke thats too aggressive, they also tend to make less noise when being too hard on them. If your running bias plys, i have no clue what those need sorry ha.
if you listen carefully you can hear the angry squeal im talking about that i think you want, but cars kinda loud sorry.

Thanks for the input. I know what you mean by tgat angry sqeal as well.
As for the tires i got the Hoosier R6. According to tirerack.com,
"The tire’s internal structure features a symmetric construction that uses nylon cord radial casing plies reinforced by two lightweight steel belts and a spirally wrapped circumferential nylon cap ply under the tread. The tires feature a rim recess design on all sizes. Additionally, their symmetric tread design and internal construction allows them to be mounted on either side of the car (and later be remounted inside out to further extend their life)." In other words drag radial right. I scored a pair that had two passes on them for 150.
Got a question though, the tr3650 is the same as the tr3650-9 correct? Someone nis selling one to me for 275. I need to asap.
