I thought about this last week seeing how bad the paint has faded on the spoiler. I think the GTs look good without a spoiler because of the body style of the car. In my opinion, removing the spoiler would give it a more aggressive look, just look at the Cobras.

The 05-09 Mustangs on the other hand, look hideous without the spoiler.

I don't have rear pics , but I removed mine 2 years ago and I love it. I tried to have the holes filled and painted on a budget and it was a nightmare. You can try the plug kit at first, but the paint under the spoiler is usually ruined.

just take the spoiler off and see if you like it, its 4 bolts and its off, and if you like it either get the holes filled or get the nylon plugs for the holes

Yeah if you keep the spoiler off you'll probably need to get the trunk lid painted anyway. On my 2003 the paint under the spoiler was worn thru and faded looking. I tried touching it up and filling the holes myself but it was too much of a headache.
