Default Bypass valve or blow-off valve?

Need some insight from those more experienced.

I purchased a used P1SC for the Mach 1 and I was told the discharge tube is setup for Procharger's Big RED BPV or some BOV.

I will run as much boost as the Mach can safely handle to put it around 450 rwhp. I am learning as I go with this stuff.

I do not have much experience with supercharges however with turbos I have always vented to atmosphere no reason to recirculate. I would assume it would work the same. I heard recirculating is suppose to help with spool up time adding that extra air before the turbo but again not sure how much this translates to superchargers

Bypass is when it recirculates it to the power pipe, Blow off is when it vents to the atmosphere, In order for you to have a blow off valve you will need to run a blow thru MAF setup, and a bypass valve needs a draw thru MAF setup.

I am running a Blow off valve and I am running a blow thru setup.

Blow thru setups are a lot easier to fine tune on the dyno and they can support more hp then draw thru setups as well.

Blow-thru... is that when the air goes through the compressor first and then the air is measured by the MAF?

Don't ask us, ask your tuner.

I missed that you said this the first time, if you are wanting to push your block close to the limits like that then the nerd said, get in contact with your tuner and see what one he feels more comfortable tuning and draw thru or blow thru setup. then go from there
