Default Help identifying a part

im not sure what the big black cylinder is on the drivers side firewall. it has the master cylinder attached to it. My big black whatever it is is leaking. Any help is appreciated

Have a pic? It sounds like the hydro boost system for your brakes. If its leaking it would be power steering fluid or brake fluid. Check to see if either is low.

Its the hydrobooster for the power brakes. It runs off power steering fluid like said above.

The black cylinder itself is a nitrogen charged hydraulic accumulator, it hold a small pressure reserve for the hydro-boost braking system...
