Default Suspension Suggestions????? 2000 GT

SO the 2000 Mustangs suspension is a little too rough riding for my tastes and I want to tone it down so it rides more like a convertible should and not the race car it feels like.

Any suggestion on shock/strut/Spring replacements I could do???

][It would help if you told us what springs/shocks/struts are currently on the car.

If you're saying the stock suspension rides too rough, I can't help you because I think my H&R Supersports and Tokico Illumina 5 ways set to 5 front and 3 rear ride just fine. Maybe you can find a 1976 Bicentennial Edition Cadillac Eldorado Convertible instead.

I've had a pretty good result with the Eibach Pro System, a little stiff, but I feel it rides better than stock. It comes with everything you need, springs, shocks/struts, etc. Good luck.

Tis not a stock system... not sure what is on it, as I only bought it last week. Was just looking for other options to smooth out the ride. Right now one little bump feels like I hit the biggest pot hole on the planet

Now that is a smooth ride. I spent a lot of time gliding up and down the east coast in 1979 - 1980 in a 1976 Elderado Baritz Cadillac convertible , black with red interior. It was lkke floating on a cloud. Pimp daddy but not Mustang worthy.

The rears look look like J&M, but I am not 100%. the label on the CAs was dirty and disappearing.

I agree that it will be rather hard to help you much without knowing what is on your car now.

Smooth ride is also a completely subjective attribute, especially among performance enthusiasts.

That being said, I could suggest a set of Ford C-springs(or Bullitt/Mach1 springs) along with a set of adjustable struts/shocks. This would provide a decent compromise between handling and ride. Plus the ride height would still be around 3/4" lower than a stock GT.

I bought the car used so I don't know everything on it. I discover it as I modify or fix something here and there.

The U&L CAs are dirty but they look similar to the J&M ones on American Muscle, SO I am going with those being J&M.

Shocks I see no label, struts the same

When I hit a bump these things go WHACK, like I hit a 2 ft deep pothole.

You feel every nook and cranny of road imperfections. I just want to tone it down a bit.
