It never ends! (turbo time)

The search for more power continues. Well it's not really a search for more power. But I'm hoping to gain some more hp and trq. Over the winter I'll be doing a turbo build. The ysi made some great numbers with the converter unlocked. But I'm tired of replacing the belt on the damn thing already. I'm going to piece the kit together. I'll be going with a precision turbo 7675, cgfab hot side, Thinking about getting a custom downpipe that exits out of the bumper (still debating on that). I don't know what wastegate or bov I'm going to go with. This is where you guy come in. What are you turbo's guys using?

WhiteFoxGT 06-25-2013 06:00 PM

i'd like to find the money tree that you have been harvesting from...lol

You are a crazy man. Do you already have kmember and longtubes?

99 GT vert 06-25-2013 06:55 PM

ahh another blower guy seeing the light. I believe my bovs and wastegates are turbo smart but I would have to double check since they came with the kit I bought a word of advice stay as far away from the turbosmart boost controller as possible it is the biggest pos out there and takes a rocket scientists to figure out

wasn't even his numbers. Just the annoyance of belts breaking. I would of broke 700 with the converter locked.

ctgreddy 06-25-2013 09:54 PM

tc and kerns would have made very similar numbers if they had the same trans. But kerns just uses quite a bit less boost lol

MF is all ballers anymore...thats why I sold my slow shltbox and bought a bike...they are faster than 95% of the cars on this board lol

uberstang1 06-26-2013 06:06 AM

Im debating getting rid of my setup for the drivetrain im building now, im just not sure if ill put it in the shark or another car, but im going the total oposite direction of boost And mod motor. 557 cubic inch BBF with big compression , big cam, big heads, and spray. Just wont be the most street friendly setup lol

PurpleIcedGT 06-26-2013 07:21 AM

Luber dont touch the shark, build another car and keep the shark as is bro

uberstang1 06-26-2013 07:58 AM

Yea probably, the 557 should maked in the ballpark of 1500-1800rwhp all said and done and wanna use it for a grudge car but its gonna take a few years to build, gonna go with *shiver* a gm style trans, powerglide of course

Na he just saw how cheap it was for 99 gt vert(Evan) to convert his to turbo

TCStangerv6 06-26-2013 06:48 PM

I'd like to just put this motor in my f150 and put a bbf in the car. But I'll just do that later.
