Default Took my car to the track today

I took my car to Beaver Springs Dragway today. This was basically my first time at a track.I did go one other time and got two passes in.Keith and Steve came down with a couple of their friends.I borrowed a friends DR's for the day.I got six passes in.First pass was a 13.1@109 which was my worst one for the day.My best pass was a 12.7@112.Appearently I am getting some belt slip bc Steve and Keith are thinking my trap speed should be around 120.I hope that by changing the belt and more track time for me that the car would run 12.0-12.2.I don't take it as serious as a lot of the forum members but it was pretty fun running 1st,2nd and 3rd gear up to 7k.

Without a doubt for your first time ever racing, especially with 4.10 rear gears and a blower, those times are decent. 109 trap was low because with a little less weight and identical power that blower trapped 120-121 for me all day. but considering your missing a whole rib of your belt I wold gurantee there is some belt slip going on.

When I put the new belt on we'll have to go again.I learned a good bit and was happy to hit 12.7 several times.High 11's are probably too much to ask for though.

I'd love to get a private track rental this year but not sure how many people would need for that.

You and I both.I'll have the new belt on before then.Gonna need to borrow a set of drag radials from someone.I'll try and shave a little more weight off the car too.Next year high 11's or low 12's for sure.
