You don't know it but you were a big reason I decided to dump my Biology & Kinesiology Masters/D.O. and started over with a completely new path in Computer/Electrical Engineering.

I may not be MIT material like you but I'll make something work. :0)

Semper Fidelis Sir.

A little late on this one

Sorry to see this day come. I'm way too busy with work and other hobbies these days to ever really post or even lurk over here or other mustang forums for that matter. As odd as it seems the urge to check in over here to see cliffy still posting is sometimes too hard to resist.

With that being said, hobbies - like everything in life are just a means to an ends. How much satisfaction you draw from them depends on how open you are to them and how much you accept from them. How open and acceptant we are towards hobbies always depends 100% on things far more important to our lives than the hobby itself. When core things arent right with us such as relationships, money, time, health.....we have a hard time enjoying or caring about our hobbies.

If those things are true then if someone gets the feeling that they can no longer afford to mentally supply a hobby and keep those core things in life correct then it is most certainly OK to hang up the hat. Especially after so much dedication, expertise, and the most important thing....satisfaction.
