I was 19, wanted a Mustang bad. Looked around for a few days (wasn't expecting to afford a '99 as this was in '04) and found an excellent deal on the car Idixd.
better question is why do I stl have it. I hate driving it half the time, its slow and uncomfortable, sucks for a winter driver especially with the toddler, and I spend too much time comparing it to my new one.
Really ought to sell it, but dont think I could go through with it now.

I had been looking for a cool car to buy as my first car that I could actually afford. I was going to get an old mustang as a resto project, but decided i wanted something driveable. Looked at SVT Contours but they were too ricey for me. Started looking at SN95, particularly new edges but couldnt find an affordabe one at the time so I ended up with my 98 (which ended up being a project anyways lol).
I actually think I like the SN95 over the New Edge in some respects now. Definitely more rare to see a nice clean one and if you look at it, it's pretty much the only curvy mustang body style. Its just unique and once the non-PI engine was gone it was even better
