Default MAF procharger replacement questions

For the people out there running an intercooled procharger and have replaced your MAF....

Did you put the replacement in the same spot as where it goes according to the install instructions, or did you move it closer to the intake?

For those that moved it closer to the intake, where did you get the new piping needed from, and what did you get?

I am getting close to finally installing my SC, but the tuner wants to replace the MAF, and mentioned wanting to move it closer to the intake, but did not know what exactly what is needed.

Just so you know your probably gonna have to return the car, the clocking of the MAF will effect the afr on the tune. When I was messing with mine it leaned the car out. Try and get it back as close as possible.

I haven't installed it or anything yet, just buying the last few parts (MAF, tuner) I need. I am just unsure about the MAF placement more than anything. The procharger install guide shows it inside the fender, but I have read a ton about people moving it (which I am fine with), I just don't know what is needed to move it.

Trying to keep the car out of the shop as much as possible, as it is my DD.

You can move it as long as its in a section of straight piping, you don't want it near any bends or your gonna have turbulence issues messing the reading up

Treadstone sells a straight section of aluminum tube with a ford MAF port. Procharger sells a MAF port cap.

Thanks! That is some of what I was looking for!

I want to move the MAF out from inside the fender, and to the engine bay where there is more of a straight shot than inside the fender. I just have to figure out how long of a pipe to buy to replace the old MAF (and where to buy it)
