Hey everyone. I'm new to this forum and mustangs. I've just bought a 98 GT convertible that is needing a new top. I found a good deal on a complete top, frame and all ready to bolt in from a 2000 that is in great condition. does anyone know if this will fit my stang? thanks in advance

Pretty sure you should be able to make it work. Replacement tops for 94-04 are all the same fit, so I woyld imagine that nothing much changed with the frame as well.

I'm hoping it will work since I can get the complete top, frame, lift arms and motor for $200. I've read that the roof lines didn't get changed with the new edge body style so it should work. I just wanna make sure before I buy the top.

Well I just put a top on my 98 vert today. I bought a complete top/frame from a 2000 and it all bolted up just fine. The two years have different bodies but the roof lines(and interior) never changed between the "SN95" and the "New Edge". Maybe this will help someone else in the future.
