so I changed the ignition cylinder on my wife's 96 GT because the cylinder would stick really bad and u would have to set and wiggle the key till it finally unstick. but now I cant program new key because old transponder key will not fit new cylinder for the reprogram sequence. I have heard only way is to take it to the dealership and have them flash the pats code. I was wandering if any of u guys new a way around getting screwed by the dealership. any input would greatly help. thanks

do you have 2 keys? and why wont the new cylinder slide over transponder ring? should be able to replace tumbler and swap over transponders. if not, you did something wrong

also, did you build the new cylinder to the old key ? or did you replace it and it came with 2 keys? if thats the case there is no way around reprogramming new keys
