OK so i know some people took interest in my hood modification. Mostly its been met with a lot of indifference. I will say the same out my final color choice in general is getting a lot of unsure looks and comment. But what can i say i am building the car for me so if you dont like it...well at least you dont live in the area haha. In any case, engine is built ready to install, and car is in for final paint this weekend. I cant say enough about how much work it has been to redo my hood as well as strip, repair, prep, and paint the whole car. But for those of those still interested. Heres some teaser pictures!

hood
factory...well it was. hand made functional aluminum vents with new flat red paint. Color is actually cardinal red with a flat clear. so real paint, not plasti dip or a wrap. vents painted black with flat clear.

teaser pic of fenders and hood set on. badges have been welded shut, also i removed the antenna mounting plate and put a bracket inside the drivers side fender so that the antenna is run up the fender out of view. ill be honest it is really hard to take a picture of this color. But this is pretty close to what it looks like in the sun. The hood only pic almost makes it look pink...and its not lol. But i dont do any color correcting on my photos so that probably doesnt help. Anyway looks better in person. Regardless i happen to really like how it is turning out so far.
