Default Whats the difference??

I'm in the market for a new mid pipe. What's the difference between a hi flow cat and UN catted mid pipe. What are the advantages and disadvantages?? Thanks

OP,

Good question and a High-Flow cat is going to keep you emissions friendly if you're in a strict state. This is something that Mustang Owners in states like New York have to do as opposed to re-installing their OEM Mid-Pipe every time they're to get inspected.

Un-Catted or O/R=Off Road means that you're not going to have any catalytic converters:

Here's a picture of Magnaflows Off-Road Tru-X X-Pipe:

You'll see that it's missing cats and is very straight through! This is going to give your car a much louder muscular sound as well as improving the exhaust flow. O/R Off-Road will give you slightly better HP and TQ gains as well.

Here's a picture of Magnaflows Catted Tru-X X-Pipe:

While the cats would still be in place you would see a nice bump in performance as well as an increase in sound but it wouldn't be as loud as the off-road.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions and I'm here to help.
