Default Dynotuning

Alright so i've been having trouble for a while now to get my 99 GT dynotuned. The tuner guy told me that the o2 sensor were "dead" i replaced all of em and even the whole engine wiring harness and still nothing-.- my question is can i use a wideband sensor to get the car tuned?

What do you mean there dead, if your conputer had no upstream o2 sensor readings it would run like *** and through a bunch of codes. The car needs upstream o2s to work as they provisw data to the ecu. A wideband sensor cannot do that

Yeah, what is 'dead' exactly?

Sounds like it was previously tuned to run in Open Loop, not uncommon on some of these cars depending on who was doing the tuning, and why...

You said you rebuilt the motor. Are you sure the harness for the O2 sensors got connected at the top front of the transmission?
