What spring rate for coilovers?
I'm looking to get upr's k member and coilover kit. I just don't know what spring rate to get for my car. My car currently has a 2" drop on it, I know with coilovers I can adjust ride height. The car is just a cruiser with an occasional drag strip run and auto cross course. What spring rate out of the options they give would be best for me.
12-250
12-350
14-125
14-150
14-175
I'm clueless when it comes to spring rates. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I personally am running 300# springs. Mines not a daily driver but handles well on the country roads around here. Im also running MM k member, control arms and coil overs. Im also lighter in the front 70-80 lbs with an aluminum block. In my opinion, choosing a spring rate will come down to your preferences and driving style. I THINK with what you have listed, a spring matched to just daily driving will do. Trying to autocross with a light drag spring would be difficult but a autocross spring in drag racing wont be bad, just not going to get the times you could with a light spring. I would personally stay in the 200-300 lb range if you want to do both types of racing. 150 lb range for drag racing/daily. 300 lb range if auto cross/daily. Also try to match to your rear spring handling capabilities I do have some 12-250 lb hypercoil springs if you choose that size. They were mached up only.
