I have returned and what I've been doing.
Last year, I sold off my 97 Cobra and picked up a 98 Formula Firebird. After about a year of driving it, I decided to look around for a project to have some fun with. Wound up with a low mile 95 Mustang GT that had some issues, so I got it fairly cheap. Visions of 347 strokers danced in my head and all was well. I lurked around the 5.0L section of here, picking up info on the engine and I finally got it running decent enough to find out where I stood.
Then it happened. I was browsing on my local craiglist and I found something that I couldn't ignore. 1992 Corvette M6, drives, but needs work $3500. So yeah, I hopped in the car and drove over to take a look at it. It looked fantastic, but it bucked like all hell under load, the check engine light was on, and the service traction control/abs was active. Figuring that it needed an opti spark, I offered the guy $3300 and we settled on $3400. Ran the codes and it was a $26 TPS causing all of my issues. Service ASR was loose caliper bolts and low brake fluid.
So, there I was, three different sports cars and not a dime to my name. Something had to give. Figured that I would bounce the mustang and build the LS1 in the firebird. Sold the mustang to a good friend of mine and he has done wonders to that car.
After daily driving the corvette, I realized that something gets lost in translation from the LT1 in the vette to the LT1 in the Fbodies. The vette will damned sure hang with LS1 in the Firebird. Started to wonder if I really needed the firebird at all.
In an unfortunate turn of events, both of my grandparents passed away, two months apart. My grandad had a lot of cars, one being a 63.5 galaxie 500 fastback and my mom got it. So I have been on restoration duty for the galaxie and now the firebird is for sale. So yeah, hell of a year. In closing, everything has kind of settled, so I am back on here, handing out advice wherever I can.
Pics of the new daily and you can see the mustang that I had in the background.

Right now just some basic restoration stuff. New front spring, weatherstripping, interior pieces, etc. Once the firebird sells, I will be looking into a better cam.

Soon, very soon. Just been trying to get it on the road. I hate the old crap lol. Stupid drum brakes have been giving me fits.

Something like 70% of the C4's came with autos. The car was marketed toward the middle aged man and that person wanted an automatic. The ZR1 and LT4 cars were manual only, but otherwise, it was mostly autos.
