Unfortuantly for some people a few extra dollars is more important than their own integrity

People get breaks all the time... 1-14mph in NJ is 0-2 pts. 15+ is 4 pts. 4 can be plead to 2. 2 can be plead to 0, but they'll hit ya with the unsafe driving surcharge and you'll pay $450 to get a clean slate... Take the points or pay the piper.

As for a cop targeting you because of your car, I highly doubt that. Don't speed. The end.

And in NJ, the radars are tested by each officer before shift. Before you get into your car, you test the radar and it must be within standards. If it's not within standards, it's taken out of service and you're not running radar that day unless the portable unit is put in service.

I will say I admit to speeding 90% of the time when I am stopped. The only time I don't is when I am not paying attention to the speedometer and I am just cruising on one of my long drives.

I had cops have me dead to rights and I just pulled over before they were able to get on the freeway from their U-turn or hiding spot. I can see them get all anxious so I just pull right over and wait for them to arrive.

That has gotten me more warnings than tickets

If you go to court the officer will say that you were going 80 and the state will go after you with a big fine. After court NC DMV will give you the points. And after all of that your insurance may cancel or go up so high that its going to cost a lot for you to be on the policy. Driving at that speed was a bad move and you will learning this. The good thing about this is that you are still here and not hurt....
