I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question, and it may have already been answered as I didn't take the time to do a thorough search.
Does anyone know if the "New" Prestone 50/50 prediluted coolant is OK to use in our Mustang GTs with aluminum heads or blocks/heads? I've used it to top off the existing coolant after replacing the upper radiator hose, but I'm not sure if it's 'good' for aluminum. The container states:

• For ANY car or light duty truck
• Works with ANY color antifreeze
• Will NOT void warranty
• Up to 5 years or 150,000 miles of protection

The container also states that it meets or exceeds ASTM D3306 & ASTM D4985, but that doesn't mean anything to me. There's nothing on the label that specifically states anything about its compatibility with aluminum.
Any enlightenment on the subject will be appreciated.

Glad you found your answer, But another answer is that when I needed new coolant (oil cooler install) I just went to Ford and got what they recommended. It may have cost more but to me it was worth it to make sure nothing is going to damage to my engine.
