hi I listed a question regarding my motor trans changeover for my 4.6 v8 yesterday. I put it in the forum section is any one able to answer this for me .I am trying to ascertain weather or not I have the correct drive shaft .I got a replacement seal today . it is correct in total diameter 63 mm at tail shaft
however its the same size as the one in it now where it seals the yoke- 40 mm and the yoke is only- 38 mm, so its probably going to leak also .
are the v8 yokes different and how many splines do they have on a 98 model
many thanks. Denis

you're going to have to provide a lot more information first.

what year is your car, what transmission, what year trans/motor is going in? etc....

If im not mistaken, the 98-04 manual and auto transmission driveshafts are the same EXCEPT the yoke. At least I have swapped in a Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft into my automatic 2002 GT and only had to swap the yokes on the transmission end.
