Default Clutch Time. HEEEEELLLLP!!!!

Ok ill make this somewhat short.

108k miles on what to my knowledge is the original clutch. My throw out bearing has been squeaking the past 2k miles so I'm gonna replace the clutch.

Ordered Excedy stage 2 kit, but also ordered Ford Racing Throw out and pilot bearings. Heard most kit bearings suck and I dont want to have to do this job twice.

Start the operation this weekend, and have a few questions.

1. Do I have to get an aftermarket quadrant and adjuster to be able to adjust the clutch correctly? (I've heard yes and no but don't see why the stock one wont work?)

2. The car has LT Headers in the way (YAAAY!!!) and they are welded straight onto the rest of the exhaust. So, is there any possibility of getting the tranny out without cutting up the exhaust and having to re-weld it? ( I was thinking maybe detaching the bell housing could work? But this is my first clutch job ever so I have no idea.)

3. How can I ensure my new throw out bearing will live a long happy life?

4. I have heard I will have to loosen the headers, take off the starter, lean the motor back and cry in pain and anger a lot. But is there any other really hard parts about this job I need to know?

1) Yes. The factory quadrant/adjustment mechanism won't adjust it properly. Almost everyone I've seen install an aftermarket "performance" clutch without upgrading those parts had issues.

2) Pretty sure you're f*****. That's a real dick move to weld the headers to the midpipe, whoever did that. Pretty sure the bellhousing is integrated on these, but either way the midpipe would still likely obstruct removal of the transmission.

3) OEM/FRPP bearings aren't known to be problematic, I think you'll be ok.

4) That sounds about right, I think you have it covered.

Integrated bellhousing... yep I'd say I'm screwed in that case.

What's the best way to adjust the clutch and insure I don't just burn it up? (This is my first catch job)
