Stock scoop
#2
Hey Pei,
I personally, would not recommend it.
Making the scoop functional, creates a much greater chance of the scoop actually flying straight off of the car and either wasting the hood, or even causing an accident!
When you allow air to enter, but have no-where for it to escape, you are actually generating lift-off.
I would look into aftermarket hoods with functional vents like the Heat Extractor Style Hood.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

Pretty much what AMWill said. I seen people do it, but I also seen a couple rip off of the hood. Look at the Mach 1 hoods and scoop if you want something functional. Its a little bit of modification to get it to work on a 2v engine but is doable.

There right I would not even try it. If that's what you want than you should buy the Head Extractor Hood. On my 09 GT I just wanted a better looking hood scoop so I put a 2013 Roush scoop on my GT and I think it looks good but its only for the looks....

You definitely have the right idea school!
We do carry the CDC Shaker System and it is an awesome setup, but it does come with a price tag and some work to install, regardless I would recommend checking it out!
If anyone needs anything, feel free tor each out.

This has been talked about many times here and in a bunch of other groups.
The general consensus is it is not worth doing. You have to enforce the scoop to prevent being blown off, and it allows a lot of dirt (and more importantly water) into your bay, which can create a lot of problems. You won't see any performance gains as it is not ducted to your intake and whatnot.

I did it and it was great. My fuel rails used to get hot and vapor lock. I cut the hood and drilled the honeycomb and no more problems. Probably no real benefit to it on a mostly stock engine.
One downfall was water and dirt would get on the intake.
