2004GTconvertable

I have a 2004 GT that has a blown out gauge bulb. I purchased a PC194 bulb and base but it is roughly twice the size of the ones in the dash. I looked around and everything I found said this was correct bulb. The ones in the dash also do not look like the bulbs come out of the base, any one have an idea what size bulb I should look for??? I would like brighter LED bulbs. Thanks for your time.

I believe the correct led bulb type is a 194 wedge base. At least that's what I have been told.

I got the 194 wedge bulb but it is about twice the size of the bulbs in my car. The bulbs in the car also do not have removable bulbs from their bases, all one piece bulb and base. Perhaps my car was made on the moon in 2004. Thanks for the reply.

The instrument cluster uses #24 lamps, 5 total. It's the hvac panel that uses #194.

Thanks for the reply. Believe it or not I just discovered that. I had an old 92 Corvette information center with the same bulbs and bases. Base had number on it #24 and is the same size as the Mustang. Bulbs will come out of these bases and I have 10 bases now. I put one in place of the bad bulb and it works. Thanks again for the reply.
