Default 02 Mustang GT convertible

Hey guys,

After 15 months of patiently searching for the exact car that I wanted. And realizing that I live in SO CAL, I went with the 4.6L Mustang GT.

Very excited to be apart of this forum, looking forward to reading other peoples threads and learning ALOT about out vehicle.

Just a heads up, I'm new to Mustangs and especially new to FORD. However, I do know how to use the "Search bar". SO you wont have to worry, but I'm sure I'll have LOTS of questions to ask.

See ya'll around the forum.

Right now, it's all about fixing a few issues with the vehicle. I basically got this thing for a STEAL! It's an 02 with 104,000mi, interior looks brand new and the engine was taken care of. Exterior has a few issues but for the most part looks great.

For what I've done:
Replaced rear tires
New brake pads/ front rotors, had to replace front passenger- side caliper and hub
The previous owner installed chrome grill inserts so I have ordered the OEM grill to replace
Also I have ordered the MACH 1 grill delete

So far that is it. But much more to come!!!

Looks lowered already so that'll save you some coin.

my 2 cents.

Chuck the rims, get something like the saleen or Cobra rim or even Bullits, get staggered, they look killer on the new edge SN95
Have it buffed out real good.
Replace the headlights with some smoked ones
Same with tail lights.
Remove those chrome inserts from the phone side vents (looks cheesy)
Get a replacement cowl cover on eBay, they are $50.00
Remove vert molding, sand it, primer, and paint it then triple clear coat it.
SN95's silver are the classiest of the New Edge Mustangs, but beware if you ever have an accident it is the hardest color to duplicate/tint/shade for body shops.

Wow, GREAT INFO! I've never been apart of a forum that has givin such great advice.

So the taillights are already smoked, I sanded the headlights yesterday and brought them back to stock, so I'll wait Alittle while untill I replace those.

Not sure if I mentioned this already, but I bought replacement OEM grille inserts for the hood and quarter panels, also I bought the Mach 1 grille delete.

For the suspension it has been lowered not sure if they are H&r or eibach, only reason I say those two becAuse the spring is "red" in color.

Headlights coming back to life!

Good to see another vert owner.. believe it or not but I get people wanting my car all the time because it's 100% stock looking as it seems to be getting rare to see them anymore like that..
