Default 3.125 6 rib pulley belt size....

Hey guys scored on a 3.125 pulley (currently running a 3.33 pulley). Trying to get her to 525 to the wheels. Researched on line and cannot find a clear answer. What belt size (and brand of belt) will I need to run with the 3.125 pulley?

im running the same pulley with stock size damper but 8 rib setup with a 112" belt. i also swapped to a 3 bolt timing cover so if you have that then use the 112 if you have the single bolt timing cover i think you can use a 108"

Nice numbers all the same. I have a similar set up, MMR 900s on a teksid block, V-3 Si aftercooled, powerpipe, 3.33 pulley, (although about to order an 15% OD pulley) TF 44cc heads, stage 2 blower cams, pi intake, accufab plenum/tb, 3.90s, stock manifolds, mac prochamber and borla stinger...on 91 octane. made 486/419

Yes seems a though we had the same idea. Are you plan on trying to get her over 500? My goals 525-550. Not to much on the street will be able to handle that. Especially being that the 2Vs weigh a lot less than today's muscle cars (Camaro SS, Callengers, even some older model GT500s).

Yeah ideally I am aiming for 550rwhp. That seems to be a perfect amount for a street car from what I hear. my motor and fuel system can handle whatever I throw at it...just working on getting there. Obviously it would be better to go for a T trim but I am keeping my head unit for now. Swapping to the 15% OD pulley should help a lot. I am also deciding between shorty or mid length headers. I don't want long tubes so trying to figure out if switching them at all is worth it.

I see you're from Cali. Man you guys have a strict emmisions inspection. LT's would probably be out of the question. From experience shortys will do you no justice and are a bit++ to install. Not worth it all.

You will get bored with 550rwhp pretty fast.

Yeah emissions are strict. I don't want the long tubes for that reason, plus I don't want to bottom out on everything. As it is, my midpipe scrapes on a fair share of speed bumps
