Default Coolant level light and losing coolant

Ok. Kind of strange. I keep getting "Coolant Low" light so I keep topping off my reservior. Light goes off but coolant leaks out of the cap and you can smell it once I reach my destination. No overheating at all.

I assume I am overfilling but the dang light keeps coming on unless I keep the level above the line. Simply a bad sensor?

Wrong section my friend. But it does sound like a bad sensor.

Oops. Thanks for letting me know. I may have fixed it anyway. I removed it and did a good cleaning on the inside. So far, so good.
