Default Fluids?

My 2004 owner's manual specifies Mercon for the power steering and manual transmission..Is Mercon V the current spec?
The manual shows two weights for the differential. Is 75w-140 syn the correct one for the GT posi rear?
Thanks.

Do you still need friction modifier when using Royal Purple?

Even with RP which I hear contains a friction modifier I would still invest the extra $6 on a bottle of f/m and put it in anyway.
