Default Thinking about switching head unit for another Ford one

…so as title says, I have the factory Mach 460 in dash 6-cd changer in my '03 'vert, but it only works when it feels like it. So , I'm considering switching it for a factory single disk CD head unit. Specifically the one that has the MP3 on the bottom corner, as I see one like that available per my owners manual. Question is, will it work fine with my amps? I have the 3 plugs that connect to the back of the radio unit. By checking at the back of these single disk radios, I only see 2 "live" plugs, the other 2 being just "placeholders". Please let me know, as some people say this radio will not work on my car.

Thanks

From what I have read, it will not work. Most owners just purchase an after market radio that will hook up to the factory Mach sound system. I believe that Crutchfield is supposed to sell everything you need to swap out including the connectors. Good luck.
