I have a 98 gt 4.6, I need to know what this is. Theres a clip or plug that goes in this hole. And no part stores nor do I know what it is. I was wondering if anyone could help me. It's located were the engine and transmission connect but on the top back area on the block. Under the intake. You can reach me anytime. My number is 812-493-7946. Thank you

It's just a plug.A bit of access to the clutch area for no purpose that I can think of.
When I replaced my cracked intake manifold,I used sealer on this loosely fitting plug,as when the manifold was leaking,coolant ran down the block valley,through the hole,where it dripped on my clutch,making for a chattering mess.
