I had those on my '02 GT- sounded great BUT terrible drone. Couldn't hold a conversation at cruising speed.

Like I said, the sound was awesome-- the drone, not so much. There is a huge difference between loud and drone. I like loud but can not handle drone.

Is the drone as loud on the outside as much as in the inside?

The 2002 GT Conv. that I just purchased has the 40's on it. I think the sound is great. Haven't noticed the drone everybody is speaking of, but being 67 might have something to do with that. If it bothers you too much, just turn up the volume on the radio. LOL

I have Magnaflow 11235's on my car right now, good pickup in low end performance and you can still carry on a conversation with a normal talking voice until you get up to around 75 mph.

The downside is that it doesn't have that Flowmaster rumble down low.

I would say check out Summit Racing for their house-brand or Jones brand mufflers, you can get Flowmaster and Magnaflow equivalents for half the price. If I could go back, I would have gotten the Jones JEX-MF1265

I'd browse the youtube for sound clips of various cat backs, and check out our sponsors.

I heard that the Borla Grand Touring has no drone at all, but at close to 800 dollars for a cat back system, I'll never know.
The steeda catback is the same as the Borla touring, I had them on my 99 GT with an O/r x pipe and loved it, and it was quieter then my cobra slp lm2 with a carted H, which was to loud for me, so I went with flows just to quiet them down but I hated them, everyone else has them and they don't even sound that good and the drone was annoying, finally went with the OR X and Borla touring on the cobra and I am happy again
