Clutch life?
#4
I'm at 81k. Some shudder on some mornings until I go a mile or two,and then it works perfectly fine.I don't know if that's natural age related,or glazing.A few years back,it did shudder like hell a few times, due to a cracked manifold, and antifreeze rolling down the valley and into the clutch on pull away.

I've seen cars rot out and still have factory clutch. If you dont like how it feels, replace it. Depending on your power goals, I stick with a ford racing one...factory ford TOB, and dont mess with adjustable cables or quadrants.

Yeah,I hear ya'. I'm sure there is some guy that toasted his on day#2,and someone at 200k with all highway miles.
I'm fine with mine until slips or the TOB goes bad.The car is bone stock, rpms rarely go above 2-2.5k,and the car rarely goes about 50mph.I just like the sound and running through the gears. It's just a second car, my top down cruiser for beach and bakery trips.I've only once intentionally chirped the tires since the car was new.
