Default Oil type and changing intervals

I own a 2002 GT Vert and drive it only about 4K-5K miles per year. It is strictly my weekend car and only when the weather permits for the top to be down. What is ones recommendation on type of oil and changing intervals for this type of use?

I would use Mobil One synthetic and change it once a year tops.

My 04 gets about the same type of use.
I think once a year is fine, though I've mostly done it about every eight months with syn blend.

I would do twice a year with synthetic blend. Full synthetic is not a bad alternative though once a year.

Default Manual Transmission Service

How often should the manual transmission and rear differential oil be changed?

Default Differential Lube Change Interval

Standard lube capacity for the FOMOCO 8.8 Differential is 60 Ounces.
Using the Ford Racing Differential Girdle, the lube capacity is 80 Ounces.
For bullet-proof performance, get a re-useable LUBELOCKER differential gasket. No RTV sealant is necessary with the LUBELOCKER
I use and recommend Royal Purple 75W-90, because there's no need to add Friction Modifiers for a limited-slip differential. The Friction Modifiers are "built in" to the Royal Purple Synthetic Gear Lube.
When using the Royal Purple synthetic lube, follow these recommendations:
For high-performance street use, change the lube at 50,000 miles.
For racing, change the lube at the beginning of each racing season.
