no way, that mustang would out launch an evo easily, evos with work done and lightwieght flywheels are a bitch to drive, plus to launch at the track without bogging down he would have to smoke the tires or the clutch. i love launching my stang at the track, it just goes. i bet the evo would pull a little bit on the cobra every gear but would lose it when he shifts

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but it sounds like the EVO had Antilag setup. I know the computer I had on my WRX and the UTECs have that capability.

All I saw was a wussy-ass Cobra driver who gave up just when he was starting to cut the Evo's pull. Who does that? Who gets out of a race in 2nd gear???? If the Evo had had about 10 lengths on him before 50mph I could understand. But he wasn't getting smoked that bad when he let off. If he really had 518rwhp under that mustang.....his 3rd gear would have put a dead stop to that Evo's pull-away........that's IF he had 518rwhp. But hey, some ppl just aren't good racers.......no balls. And if that's the hardest that Cobra can launch...........I'D eat that Cobra for breakfast off a dig. Once again ppl......it's the drivers, not the cars. And saying that "well yea, but if they'd gone from a roll the Cobra would have kicked ass".........are you kidding? That's EXACTLY the kind of talk we trash ricers for using. Remember?..............roll racing isn't real racing.

Either way, good kill for the Evo. But all this video really was was a display of how skeered some ppl are of their cars when they try to race. If they'd both stayed in it to 75 or 100mph....then I'd call it a race.

And just for note........saying a car is ONLY running 24psi is as stupid as calling an 03/04 Cobra "blown". It comes from the factory with a s/c.....why do you need to say it's "blown"? Take the "only" and the "blown" out of the title of this video and then its gravy.

haha.. you guys crack me up. First (prototype_x9) is a punk troll that comes in on his 1-2 post and puts sheet up like that. Second, if some of you old timers remember some other troll was was way into imports did the same sheet here in this forum a year or so ago. There is more to that Video that WAS cut out. The evo races the cobra a few times. and I do recall that there was one race where the cobra did catch up and passed the evo. This thread should have not even been allow by the mods because its BS from a toll.

Yea.......prototype came in here a couple of weeks ago and pulled some BS about just buying an 06 GT and getting spanked by bus lengths by a 300ZX. Scary part is that a bunch of members here bought into it and started trying to figure out what happened with the race. I posted in that thread about it being a total BS job.....the next day I came online and the thread was gone
