Default RE: for those with a centrifugal blower.....

The fact that Twin screw SC have power available at low rpm doesent mean you are going to use every time to hit 2500 rpm, most kits (at least Whipple) come with a bypass valve, meaning the SC will be running without compressing any air or stealyng any HP or causing overheating etc, unless of courseyou hit the throttle pass 3/4, then the bypass will close and all the boost will be there immediately that is the reason twin screw make an excellent daily driver, the power is AVAILABLE but you dont have to use it unless you want to,that is also the reason I went with whipple.

With my Vortech the power really come on around 2800-2900 and it makes a nice around town car below that area... hear's my dyno sheet... also if your racing your not going to be below the 3000 area excpet on your launch.. so the bit less power down low should ( i have yet to launch her hard from a dig) make getting the power down a bit easier..

You can never have too much power, just not enough traction.

Have you given some thinking into going with a centrifugal turbo? It really depends on how much power you are looking for. Basically for me besides the pluses for DD and changing boost level when I want it was the sound. You can't tell me it doesn't sound badass.

Just letting people see the light since it has been covered by people that tried a turbo system in the 80's LOL.

I don't have either but, based on the videos i have seen, I would rather hear whine then woosh.[sm=happy046.gif]

Just my own opinion on sound only, I dont know crap about turbo's or S/C to make a educated decision on eithier.
