I think most people assume $40k for a 08 vert is alot when thats what the Shelby gt's are around and the GT500 isnt that far off(MSRP that is) and just find it hard to believe.

O; i dotn know why i though that was for a coupe at 1st. I guess when you think about it; a v8 vert w/ hids and a navi for under 40g is very fair. but there alot of other cars out there for that price including the 350z vert, a coupe vette, shelby gt, etc.

best of luck w/ it and post some pic when you get the bad boy.

WELL IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT I DO HAVE CHILDREN. THIS FORUM HAS A LOT OF A-HOLES WITH STUPID OPINIONS! I AM NOT STUPID I KNOW WHAT I ORDERED
I see that due to your studly purchase you can no longer afford your lithium. [sm=rant.gif][sm=joke.gif]

It's not an opinion that the back seat is tiny, it just is...as far as some thinking you got bent over, hey it's only money and I admit I was cheap for picking out an 07 coupe stick with painted 17s and base interior and stereo, with factory 3:55s. I chose to put my money into aftermarket mods (and gas) instead of creature comforts. To each his own.
Actually you are much man, because when I picked out my car (with my face to the showroom glass on a Sunday night) I said "that's the one, I want it and I want it NOW" and I drove it home the next day...you are much man for being able to wait for your special order...seriously! I've seen some people's order and delivery dates on this site that are six months apart...I couldn't have waited 48 hours without popping!

Just keep burnouts in the loading and unloading section of your kids' school to a minimum...and remember MILFs love Mustangs!

I got a 2007 last fall, very jealous of you. Also a convertible is more expensive then the coupe right. What does the navigation look like. Does anyone think we can upgrade our cars with the navigation too. Im jealous, sounds BA.
Uh... yeah[8D] This is the Pioneer Avic Z1... IMO the best on the market

39k is about right. Go to Forddirect and build an '07 premium vert with similiar options and add the 08 extra and you're around 39k ya'll.

Have fun and enjoy your new vert

I don't think you can use the MSRP for a Shelby or GT500. Find me a new GT500 for sticker and I'll buy it right now!

I paid $31,000 in '05 and am missing many options that were chosen for this '08. I'd have gladly paid extra for the 18" whells and the cloth top. I also don't have navigation, heated seats, HID lights, ambient, the ipod dock or side air bags. With inflation, he's not too far off. Plus it is brandy spankin new.

Hardest part will be the wait.[&o]

I too have an 08 on the way. Mine's a vert but I got all the same options as you except the Navigation System, and I got an automatic. I haven't actually gotten a price (ordered in May before they were even available) but my dealer estimated arround $37,000. Also, did you get the Shaker 1000? I gotit and can't wait to here that baby. I couldn't agree more about this car being a bargain. We were deciding betweeen the Mustang or a Cadi CTS-V. The CTS-V would have been AT LEAST 10K more money and the auto trany wasn't an option.

Do you have an ETA yet? I'm told mid July!

I was told beginning of August. Cannot get the shaker 1000 with navigation.

To compare this car to the Shelby or GT500 is ridiculous. Just because you can "build" one on the web for pricing you cannot buy one for that price. The price is what you can drive one home for. These cars have a $20,000.00 premium at a minimum. You can't even order one and wait. I was offered a Black/black w/tungsten strip vert 07 Shelby for $72,000.00. "It will ship from California in a crate with zero miles".

Oh, and I didn't get the 18" pollished wheels because the dealer said it would push me back a month or so. I'm too impatient so I ordered it with the base 17s and will upgrade when I get it. I'm just hoping to have a couple months of summer left up here when I get it.
