Default SLP line lock install ??

Simon1 and I are going to install a couple of SLP line locks Saturday, and we are wondering if anyone has any tips and photos of their install, it looks like the solenoid is going to be a tight fit.

Default RE: SLP line lock install ??

Bump.

Everything looks pretty easy with the exception of securing the solanoid that runs between the master cylinder and the ABS unit. I'm looking for a picture and/or a tip to mount the solanoid.

Thanks in advance.

I have that kit and yes, the solenoid is the worst part. If you don't have one, you might want to buy or rent an offset drill, it might help you get into the space a little better.

Sorry, the car is in storage or I'd send you some pics.

I will ask around town here to rent one. Thank You.

Is it as much of a bitch to put in as it looks?

It's not too bad. I didn't have an offset drill so I had to to some measuring and drill the holes from inside the wheelwell instead of through the engine compartment.

How is the line lock working? Any problems with the ABS?

Nice! Hopefully I will get my car out of the shop today (clutch problems), so Simon1 and I can get both installed this weekend. He picked up the angle drill already, is there anything else we should know. Any tricks to bleeding the brakes or just the standard pump the pedal method?

Nope, nothing earth shattering. Just the pump the pedal method. Another thing that I had a problem with was finding a place to mount the switch. I temporarily double-side taped it to the console right next to my right knee. I ended up buying a switch panel that covers the rear cupholder and used a switch from that.

Not to steal my own thread, but I noticed you have the CHE TQ limiters on your wish list, are you having shifting problems??I have them installed on my car, it did help, but it did not completely solve the problem, but I have heard if I add the MGW shifter along with the TQ limiters my problems should go away.
