RE: Whipple and steeda adaptive tune, anyone see this?
Steedais working on a patch for the 05-06 GTs, there is an article in one of the Mustang magazine about the tune, Mustard and I were actually discussing it the other night. I will email Steeda Monday to confirm.
RE: Whipple and steeda adaptive tune, anyone see this?
why would you need it moose, you seem to be the all knowing man of the year, why dont you wave your whipple wand at your car and see if it tunes it self, then maybe you can trap my imaginary 121 mph in the quarter, better yet the 8th mile, just dont blow over any tailer homes in your neighborhood
Moose dont respond to this crap! You guys need to just quit while ahead so no one gets banned!

RE: Whipple and steeda adaptive tune, anyone see this?
i couldnt open the link, but i've read the article in 5.0 magazine w/ the numbers. first off the numbers didnt impress me. second of all theres no pic of the tuner or how they tune it. it seems more like a preloaded tune in the tuner, it only works for whipple, how does it read the a/f, what if something's wrong w/ the tune then you gotta get it custom tuned anyway, what if you want to run N2O w/ the SC, what if you have centri or turbo. in the article it mentions setting the limit on NA at 400 hp, SC at 600 hp and w/ STEEDA upgrades 700 hp w/ no mention of forged internals. if the limit for SC is 600 (510 at the wheels) and w/ the steeda tune the numbers were 468 rwhp/ 445 tq (i think thats what they were, dont have the article in front of me), how come they are not 510? at least when other sites advertise their tune they say 500+ crank hp and thats what you get or more, but the way they advertise this its like i'm getting short changed. just seems like they are pushing THEIR SC/tuner combo just like everyone else, but making some big claims, and i just dont believe it.
RE: Whipple and steeda adaptive tune, anyone see this?
That thread is kinda mis-leading... They are talking about starting with a Q500 (which is a damn far cry from a stock GT), an offroad exhaust, a full road race setup suspension and race compound tires, and then they just threw this cal on top of that... but to read it in passing it sounds like GT+Whipple+cal = anything killer....
... I am still not impressed.
