I think over a certain psi (10+) the 90mm pulley comes into play...could be wrong but all the other whipple owners that went to that tensioner needed the 90mm pulley to work with whatever belt size they had....

Nineinchnail might chime in as he had the 76 and needed the 90 for his setup....thats what I will get for mine when I buy that beautiful tensioner!

i had belt/pulley sqeal. added the thumprrr tensioner w/ 90mm idler and it got better, but it wasnt gone completely, so i figured i had some pulley squeal also. then i added the 8 rib conversion and the sqeal is completely gone. now i know people will say there is no need for the 8 rib until you up the boost, but now i have the 8 rib and am prepared for when i do up the boost. it was pricey, but i'm glad i got it, the fat belt and thumprrr tensioner looks meaner too.

do you have to grind off the tab on the thumperr like you do the stock unit per the whipple instructions

no need to grind anything off the thumprrr.
yes it is a different crank pulley, i think it's the same diameter just w/ 8 ribs but i'll have to check to be sure, some of the idler pulleys are different sizes than stock. i got the 8 rib from bggperformance, but i think they are all ford parts, just put together in a kit so the price is a little less than buying them all seperate. and i got the cobra SC pulley from a friend who didnt need it anymore, he went to a 3.0 pulley.

mygt500 I'm running stock 10# pully and my hp is what's in the sig. I think I have another bad pully and my tensioner is fine, but the 8 rib is tempting...
